about

review by Rectium Flux
"A pretty essential trance release. Originally released in 1993 with a different track positioning and artwork (which is long out of print now, so hold on to it if you've got a copy of the original). This was one of the first records to pave the way for goa trance. The only other artist at the time (released his debut album the same year as a matter of fact) that i can compare with is Juno Reactor. While JR's material was more fast and experimental, X-Dream decided to take the deep, space-like approach to dance music. Tracks like The 5th Dimension really do feel like you're traveling through space and time. There are a lot of memorable spoken samples on here (tracks 2, 4, 5 and 7), as well as memorable beats. Today, as I right this review, X-Dream has changed quite a bit since their early goa days... but classics like this won't be forgotten so easily."
